This event will be held on Thursday 27th September at 7:30pm and is open to Labour members from Dagenham and Rainham, Barking, Romford, Hornchurch and Upminster, Ilford North and Ilford South. Email dandr_labour@outlook.com for location.

September’s CLP meeting for Dagenham and Rainham CLP will see its doors open to neighbouring CLP’s to come and discuss the topic of reaching voters in East London. John Denham, director of The English Labour Network will be this month’s guest speaker and has been invited to speak about reaching out to a demographic of voters whom Labour have seemed to lose touch with. These voters are more likely to say they are English rather than British and played a hugely significant role in Britain voting to leave the EU.

Join Jon Cruddas MP, Cllr Margaret Mullane, John Denham and other Labour members to discuss the following:

  • How can we reflect the strong sense of attachment so many people have to place and nation?
  • What policies come top of voters’ concerns in these areas?
  • How do we campaign effectively and show Labour stands for their interests?

This summer, millions of people shared the success of England’s football team. Now is the time to set out a shared vision of an England that works for the common good.

This event is organised in conjunction with the English Labour Network and hosted by Dagenham and Rainham CLP.
